Strength for the Sadness
Devotions for the Grieving
My first book, Strength for the Sadness, is my answer to a friend’s question, “What did someone give you, not flowers, that brought you comfort after your husband died?”
Just this morning, a widow who had read "Strength for the Sadness" three times and parts of it many times shared, "NO OTHER Book during my time of grieving has put into words what I was personally feeling except your "Strength for the Sadness."
"I especially liked the Scripture verses you placed with each devotion to 'point me back to God.'"
"And yes, I bought another book yesterday for a man in my neighborhood who last week lost his wife and became a widower with two young daughters.

Your book, Strength for the Sadness was a gift following my husband's death in December. I know it says to read one devotion a day for thirty days, but after the first two pages I could not put it down. Page after page I found experiences and feelings described that I thought I was the only one having. I especially identified with the words, "No matter how you are feeling, it is okay to be feeling that way. "Prior to that I felt like I was going crazy." Thank you so much for writing these devotions for my time of great need.

Zeta Davidson’s Strength for the Sadness—Devotions for the Grieving gave me great comfort after the unexpected death of my husband. Zeta is a gifted writer with an extremely powerful message for those searching for answers and needing strength to carry on while grieving. Reading the devotions daily, which end with a short prayer, provided a comforting presence of God’s strength to get me though the day. The daily readings gave me reassurance that God would hear my prayers. I highly recommend this inspirational book.

As a financial service professional, I work with a lot of clients who have lost loved ones. I have provided this book, Strength for the Sadness, as a devotional to help them through their grief process. There hasn't been a case when they have not come into my office and thanked me for such a wonderful book. So many times they have said, "I feel like the author is speaking to me."
